                                          …..phoenix  flowers!

Give your tulips a fresh cut when you get home. Place them in cold water, still wrapped in the white paper you purchased them in for about 1 hour. This allows their stems to stiffen up nice and straight. After an hour, remove the paper and arrange as you choose. Thereafter, give them a fresh cut and change the water daily. Tulips continue to grow in both length and flower size after they are cut so you won't likely notice the small amount you remove each day. Some tulips, especially the parrot and peony varieties, tend to bend and swoon with each day.
Some of last years tulips. I'll bet you can't wait until January when the season begins again.
Oh my gosh, are those really TULIPS?!!
